Jérôme ROYER

Jérôme ROYER, associate investor, with a Masters in Public Law and Political Science, Sorbonne 1982. He worked in the Wine&Spirits trade in Australia and New Zealand, and then as a retail manager in the tourist sector in Tahiti. A keen diver, he set up a pearl farm in Manihi Atoll, in the Tuamotu Archipelago. Returning to Jarnac, in France, he worked at the family wine merchants firm in Cognac, which had just been sold to Japanese group, Suntory. At the same time, he co-founded Berges de Losa, a group specialising in upscale outdoor hotels, with various sites around the French coast.

Fascinated by history and politics, he has consistently combined his love for Cognac with writing books on local history, politics (as mayor of Jarnac from 2001 to 2014), his family life and a love of travel and meeting people.
